Questions
How do I book?
Send your idea through the enquiry form or by email to darkdaystudio@gmail.com. Tattooing is by appointment only. Facebook messages aren't checked often, so email is best.
Is the consultation free?
Yes. Consultations cost nothing, whether by email or in person.
How much will my tattoo cost?
Tattoos start at $200. The final price depends on size, detail and placement, and larger work is charged at an hourly rate. Estimates are given once the design has been talked through, not over the phone.
I don't know exactly what I want. Can you tell me what to get?
Suggestions, yes. The decision, no. Only you can say what a tattoo should mean to you. Bring a solid idea and any reference photos and it'll be steered toward something that looks good and ages well.
Do I need a drawing ready?
No. Drawing it is the job. A clear idea and reference photos are all that's needed.
How old do I have to be?
At least 18, with valid government-issued photo ID such as a BC ID, driver's licence or passport. No exceptions, and no ID means no tattoo.
What payment do you take?
Cash, debit and all major credit cards. You can split a payment between cash and card. No cash back.
Where is the studio?
Vernon, B.C. Moving from Vancouver. Studio address to come.
Aftercare
- Keep the bandage on for at least two hours.
- Take it off in a hot shower and let the tattoo rinse for at least 30 seconds.
- Wash with a mild liquid soap, no more than twice a day.
- Pat dry, then apply a fragrance-free lotion two or three times a day.
- Keep out of pools, hot tubs, lakes and the ocean for the first two weeks.
