Privacy policy
Last updated September 23, 2026
DarkDay Tattoo ("the studio", "we") runs this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- What you send through the enquiry form: your name, email, phone number if given, the tattoo idea, placement, size and any reference photos.
- What you send us by email.
- Basic technical data your browser sends when you visit, such as IP address and browser type, kept in server logs for security.
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, design your tattoo and arrange appointments. We don't sell your information or use it for marketing lists.
Photos of your tattoo
We may ask to photograph your finished tattoo for our portfolio and social media. We only publish photos you agree to, and you can ask us to remove one at any time.
Cookies and embedded content
This site uses one essential cookie to keep forms secure. Pages that show our Instagram, Facebook or YouTube content load it from those services, and they may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. YouTube videos only load when you press play.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and reference photos are kept for as long as needed to plan and complete your tattoo, and deleted within two years of our last contact unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run this website and our email. They process data on our behalf and may store it outside Canada.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email darkdaystudio@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
